The Seagrave Singers are an award winning all-female choir. It is our aim to bring enjoyment to others and ourselves by delivering a high quality performance. We present our own concerts bi-annually and organise concerts to assist with fundraising.

The Rías Baixas Choir was presented in Vigo in January 2014 with the purpose of replacing the lack of choral formations that could collaborate with orchestras and Chamber groups in Galicia (NW Spain). His initial claim was also to promote new soloists a...  more The Rías Baixas Choir was presented in Vigo in January 2014 with the purpose of replacing the lack of choral formations that could collaborate with orchestras and Chamber groups in Galicia (NW Spain). His initial claim was also to promote new soloists and serve as a tool for new and established composers specially from the Rias Baixas area. The choir already has more than sixty performances, both self-managed and scheduled in various cycles or festivals such as Outono Lírico, Vigo Sinfónico, Barcia de Mera Religious Music Series, Nas Ondas, Portico Sonoro, Explurart, Cooltural Cambados and II Festival Groba. In these performances they have interpreted several fundamental works of the choral repertoire in all kind of stages of the four Galician provinces, both a capella and with instrumental accompaniment. Samples of these are Petite Messe Solennelle by G. Rossini (version for two pianos), the Requiem in C minor by L. Cherubini, Music for the funeral of Queen Mary by H. Purcell, Mass in D major by A. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works.
