Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutt...  moreAmicantus Choir is a group of good friends and very talented musicians based in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire under the leadership of one of the Midlands leading Musical Directors, Miss Maddy Evans. Their diverse repertoire ranges from Mozart and Rutter to Take That and Snow Patrol with a good dose of musicals and Disney thrown in for good measure. The seeds of the Choir were first planted back in mid-2012 when Maddy was asked to set up a choir to perform a small concert at her local church near to Stratford Upon Avon. The choir are all good friends and met in a variety of ways from other choirs, bands and performing arts groups. Since their first concert, they have grown to become one of the best and most revered choirs in the Midlands and have performed at countless venues from the Birmingham German Christmas Markets to Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebrations in Stratford Upon Avon to their very first concert in Warwick in June 2013. The Vocal section of the Goldberg Ensemble, consisting of about 22 singers coming from various established choirs in Malta, brings together choral enthusiasts to perform primarily baroque choral music in a more exhaustive manner. The musicians too are distinguished performers in their own right who tour Europe extensively, and who are versatile on both modern and baroque instruments. The ensemble's director, Michael Laus, is the inspiration and motivator of the Goldberg Ensemble, whose harpsichord playing and conducting have been highly acclaimed by the international press.  less

It also performs regularly at the Jeunesse (Musikalische Jugend Österreichs) concert series in Vienna and has formed a special partnership with this institution. Warwickshire Young Voices provide high quality musical activities for children from age 2 to age 16 through a range of classes, choirs and workshops.
