Recorded May of 2010 in the CWU music building Concert hall. "Carpenters of God" was written specifically for the Chamber Choir's appearance at the 2010 NWACDA Conference. The composer talks about the inspiration for the piece (Weston Noble's visit to CWU in 2009) for the first 65 seconds. The piece is sung beginning at 1:05 in the video. The Choir has also recorded YouTube videos that feature music of Claudio Monteverdi, Ola Gjeilo, John Muehleisen, Einojuhani Rautavaara, and Tomás Luis da Victoria. Monteverdi's Sestina can be found on the following two videos: (pieces 1-3 & 4-6): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5_qClRojFw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G786-GV1NT8 Follow the Choir on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CWU.Chamber.Choir  less

Renaissance, 19th century, modern choral music, pop, .... - we like nearly every theme and style. We try to use original languages and love to engage us in music which is not often heard. We go on stage in self-organized Concerts, but perform in smaller occasions, too.

Understood to be a reference to the fall of apartheid. As sung by the Polokwane Choir, taught by Northern Harmony. This is from The OK Chorale's first ever public Concert in Woodbridge, Suffolk, UK on 24 March 2012. Not the best of lighting! Also a bit shouty in places as it was many of the singers' first time in front of an audience. www.chrisrowbury.com
