Led by innovative and experienced Choral conductors, this exciting new choir will rehearse weekly in the heart of Blackheath, and will perform locally and further afield, at a wide range of events and concerts. Are you interested in being part of an exhilarating new group, performing everything from Tina Turner to Thomas Tallis? Let us answer some questions for you… I’m new to singing in choirs. Does that matter? Absolutely not! VOCALIZE: Blackheath welcomes singers of all abilities and experiences, and the songs will be taught in a variety of ways to suit each singer. Is it OK if I can’t read music? It’s not a problem at all. We anticipate that some people will read music fluently, and some won’t know their a cappella from their ensemble. Our skilled conductors will guide you through the music in a number of different ways, and before you know it, you’ll be s...    less

"the Red Wheelbarrow is a wonderfully approachable and fun piece of music. the singers of Inversion had a blast working through the rhythmic lilt and subtly beautiful harmonies, so often found in Rich Campbell's music. the clever musical interpretation brought out the wry humor of the text." the ECU Women's Chorus performs "Ave Maria" by Guy Forbes. Dr. J. Steven Walker, conductor. April, 2013.

A Choral piece composed by an 18-year old Slovenian talent Matej Kastelic (one of the singers as well). Not too perfect, but still nice performance by his Conservatoire collegues.
