The piece builds to climax at "For Thine is the Power and Glory forever!" and ends reflectively, savoring the "Amen". One behind-the-scenes comment: On the Last page of the piece, when the first melodic material occurs again - OLa, who was sitting in the hall, asked half the choir to hum while the other half sang to create a more ethereal effect.
