Our trademark is singing all concerts by memory, which means that with a changing repertoire, our members have to be willing to work hard. We sing widely around our own region in France but are looking to exchange with a Choir further afield in the near future.

The Broadway Academy Show Choir (BASC) started in 2011 by the Broadway Academy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The BASC has been performing on a regular basis on each of Broadway Academy’s Showcase that is held at the end of each academic term. Performers of the BASC start from the age from age of 13 and to a maximum age of 28 years old. BASC performs according to a certain theme for each performance. This year for the BICF2018, the BASC has chosen the theme of Hamilton, from the award winning Broadway Musical Hamilton. BASC is under the vocal direction of Dr Casey Broadway and choreography under Ms Nana Eddy. The BASC is modeled after the American Show Choir whereby choristers have to undergo both vocal and choreography training. The Choir has been invited to perform in New York, Los Angeles, Florida and Michigan. BASC hopes that the American Tour will be a reality soon. The wide-ranging repertoire enables flexible programming for venues – large and small concert halls, churches or synagogues – and appropriate occasions. The ensemble, which consists of singers of non-Jewish origin, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2012.
Artistic director since 2012: Ludwig Böhme.

The Chorus also performs contemporary music including Broadway show tunes, international songs, holiday music and modern favorites.
Additionally, the Chorus represents the Tucson community as a world renowned choral organization. It has toured throughout the U.S. and many countries around the world.
