Open to anyone (age 8+ to adult) with a love of musical theatre, the group works on excelling in musical theatre singing, good vocal techniques and harmony work. Movement and/or acting plays a part, with plenty of opportunities for solo and small group singing if desired.   

The Forest City Fire a cappella chorus aims to sing interesting and challenging music with a High level of precision and expertise. It is our belief that a cappella singing can be enjoyed by people from all ages and all walks of life.

The choir's size allows it to concentrate on performing the larger major choral works to great effect. The choir has also been invited to collaborate with the Philharmonia Chorus and the BBC National Chorus of Wales on many occasions in recent years to tackle some of the choral pieces requiring even greater choral forces such as Mahler's Eighth Symphony, Janacek's Glagolitic Mass, the Dvorak Stabat Mater and La Damnation de Faust by Berlioz. These performances can take the form of concerts and appearances in festivals and other events in the local community.
