the LAZ EKWUEME CHORALE was founded in October 1974 with a view to getting together in a small choir the best available and professionally trained singers in Lagos, the then Federal Capital of Nigeria. the objective was to bring about musical performances...  morethe LAZ EKWUEME CHORALE was founded in October 1974 with a view to getting together in a small choir the best available and professionally trained singers in Lagos, the then Federal Capital of Nigeria. the objective was to bring about musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within the limitations of national resources. the CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and other towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo. It has performed many times on Radio and Television and has featured on many State, National and International functions. It was the nucleus of the Nigerian National Choir for FESTAC 77. Participation always begins in the Fall semester, and continues all the way to graduation commencement in June. the choir performed in joint concerts with Choirs from Duke University, Yale University, Harvard University, Perugia University and Missouri Drury University.  less

It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardina...  morethe Munting Himig Chorale (MHC) had its humble beginning way back on the fifth day of January, year 2005 and started with not more than 15 members. It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardinal Sin Village Community, which in that time was newly constructed, located at Punta. Sta. Ana, Manila, where the parish is situated. Before, they compose of only girls, singing melody of the songs of the Holy Mass. A year passed, Virgilio Deloso handled the choir, and divided the girls into two voices, the Sopranos and Altos. It was not so long that the group acquired male participants filling up all the voice sections of a chorale. Shortly after, JCSV Chorale was then disbanded to give rise to what they now call the Munting Himig Chorale, having more than 20 god-endearing and angelic-voiced Youth of Punta.
