While the majority of the singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the university through an audition process. the group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. the choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. the singers are frequently praised for the emotional spectrum in their performances, their diverse vocal color, and their varied repertoire. Participation always begins in the Fall semester, and continues all the way to graduation commencement in June. the choir performed in joint concerts with Choirs from Duke University, Yale University, Harvard University, Perugia University and Missouri Drury University.  less

It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardina...  morethe Munting Himig Chorale (MHC) had its humble beginning way back on the fifth day of January, year 2005 and started with not more than 15 members. It was originally formed by Ben Camaso as JCSV Chorale, a name patterned in accordance to the Jaime Cardinal Sin Village Community, which in that time was newly constructed, located at Punta. Sta. Ana, Manila, where the parish is situated. Before, they compose of only girls, singing melody of the songs of the Holy Mass. A year passed, Virgilio Deloso handled the choir, and divided the girls into two voices, the Sopranos and Altos. It was not so long that the group acquired male participants filling up all the voice sections of a chorale. Shortly after, JCSV Chorale was then disbanded to give rise to what they now call the Munting Himig Chorale, having more than 20 god-endearing and angelic-voiced Youth of Punta.
