Our ethos:
CONTEXT
Historical, social and environmental contexts of Music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year.
COLLABORATION
Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support Musicians throughout the North. We hope to work with a variety of Musicians to develop quality and future collaboration within the Choir.
COMMUNICATION
No Music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet Music in concerts. In doing this, we intend to submerse ourselves, and audience in the context of the Music. This will enable the Choir to fully communicate their interpretations of the ... less

The heart of Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment is singing and community building. Major activities revolve around three groups: Dozan wa Awtar Singers, Dozan and Atfal Dozan. Dozan wa Awtar Singers is an innovative large community Choir ranging from 40-60 singers that performs three main concerts a year. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of genres including classical, Musical theater, Arabic and world Music . Dozan is a chamber Choir that experiments with new Arabic arrangements and other world Music and specializes in smaller tailored performances as well as festivals and competitions.
