The group is made up of twenty-somethings (mostly!) who are young professionals living in London. Founded by singers and beatboxers from the likes of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, Last Choir Standing and Britain's Got Talent favourites Out of the Blue, the group’s repertoire spans from Billy Joel to the Black Eyed Peas, via pop, Jazz, barbershop, rap and original composition as they offer a programme of sumptuous Jazz arrangements, genre jumping covers and assorted originals. Following a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Refrains enjoyed a sold-out London debut at The Forge, Camden. Recent gigs have included The London A Cappella Festival, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Silver Bullet and private events. Our goal is to show today's choir music is not just for the choir fans but for everybody out there, that's why we call ourselves Street Art. We have different jobs but we have the same passion: singing together! Spirituals, great classics, soundtracks or rock music… the main thing is to put quality any little bit of craziness together.  

The Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. The choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. The choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting choirs and enjoy joining with other youth choirs in concerts. We have a training choir for younger singers, and a choir for boys whose voices have changed.

Comprised of more than 20 experienced singers. All have a wealth of Vocal experience. Many have sung in barbershop choruses and quartets. Others have strong choral backgrounds.

We're a group of about 20 men & women, and sing in 3 or 4 (or more) part harmony. Quorum love to raise money for local causes - covering all sorts of charities, in all sorts of venues. Quorum Singers of St Albans has been singing for over 25 years, and perform around 3 times a year in St Albans or locally in Hertfordshire. We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays, throughout the term time, and can often be found performing in Christopher Place around Christmas time!  less

They soon found a community of singers who are equally passionate about the energy and intimacy of chamber choral music performed at a high caliber. Although we perform throughout Rhode Island and beyond, we are delighted to be ensemble-in-residence at Grace Church Providence, which generously provides rehearsal and performance space, and serves as our fiscal sponsor.  less
