Under the direction of Lisa Wong, the Choir has been praised for its beauty of sound, high level of artistry, and engaging performances. The Wooster Chorus presents several concerts both on and off-campus throughout the academic year, and embarks each spring on a week-long domestic tour. Membership is by audition. Recent collaborative performances have included Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D Minor with the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.  less

The word 'vacilando' is Spanish, and refers to taking enjoyment out of the journey rather than focusing on the destination. As such, the Choir will take a more casual approach to music-making, with fewer performances throughout the season than Òran, our young adult Choir. The group will still place an emphasis on all the things that make Kokopelli's music-making unique, however: community, multiculturalism, choral excellence, and multifaceted performances.  less

Sponsored positions are available so don’t let money be a barrier. We meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm during school terms at the CWA Hall, 20 West Market St, Richmond, NSW. One of our members Pammy says: ‘It’s funny - most of us think we can’t sing but somehow together, we sound amazing!’ She’s right! The Choir was formed in 1986 initially to provide a Choir for Midnight Eucharist on Christmas Eve, but since then we have become an established part of the Wells Cathedral scene, and now sing 40 to 50 of the regular services throughout the year, as well as some of the festival services which include a Requiem Mass on All Soul’s Day. We are an amateur auditioned Choir of 30 and strive for a high standard, so for potential members it is important to have a reasonable sight-singing ability. We rehearse regularly throughout the year on a Thursday evening. The music we perform is very varied and as well as psalms we sing a wide range of canticles, masses and anthems of all genres so “Variety is the spice of life”! There is no membership fee, as we are fortunate to be supported financially with grants from the Cathedral Chapter and the Friends of Wells Cathedral.
