A selection of charming songs from across five centuries which evokes Green summer meadows and skies buzzing with life. There is a particular emphasis on The elusive magic of flying creatures, with bees, bats, ladybirds and crickets, featuring alongside birds of Many feaThers, including swans, cuckoos, crows, owls and magpies. Contemporary composer Kerry Andrew’s Rhymes & Charms for Flyaway Things inspired The concert’s title. The piece was commissioned by Making Music after Andrew won Their prize at The 2010 British Composer Awards. Our choral projects include: inclusive community choirs for people with and without disabilities, choirs specifically for adults with intellectual disabilities, and choirs for older people, with a particular focus on those with dementia and memory loss. There are now a total of ten choirs operating in The Dublin area, with more planned for 2015!
