The choir varies in size from year to years aver...  moreThe MCHS Mass Choir is made up of singers from the various choirs at Memorial Composite High School in Stony Plain Alberta with the bulk of the choir Coming from Memorial's Contemporary and General Choirs. The choir varies in size from year to years averaging 80+ singers per year.  

A traditional Igbo Christmas folk music dramatized by Two fine soloists. Accompanied by the choir to depict the Christmas cheer and joy of the Coming of the Son of God to Earth.

The Spinnakerettes reach a new high in 2014. Presenting their best performance to date: The girls were very happy to come Home to Portsmouth with a 5th place medal. Hooray!!!

Along side intensive voice training, drama instruction, theory and ...  moreThe Grande Prairie Boys’ Choir is celebrating its seventeenth season, providing audiences at Home and away with the gift of song from the hearts of 135 boys between the ages of 7 and 20. Along side intensive voice training, drama instruction, theory and sight reading in several smaller ensembles for several age categories, the choir produces 6 sold out concerts per year. Their most recent ambitions include producing a Symphony and Singing in the City concert with professional orchestral musicians mentoring local professional and semiprofessional performers from Grande Prairie. The Senior and Men of Note Choirs have travelled Nationally to BC, and ON and internationally to Phoenix, Arizona. In 2014, they entered and won second place in the Canadian National Music Festival and in 2016 were chosen out of 45 choirs to perform at the National Choral Conference in Edmonton where they premiered a choral piece Magnificat Anima Mea to huge acceptance. The choir has participated in countless international choir festivals and performed abroad, for example, in Portugal, Japan, Canada, United States of America and many more. Founder of the choir was Mefodijs Skuja but the greatest achievments DZINTARS succeeded with perennial conductor Ausma Derkēvica. Since 2000 the conductor and Artistic Director is Aira Birziņa, chief conductor of The Nationwide Song Festival in Latvia, Professor of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, organizator of innumerable cultural projects and author of the concepts of many projects for avocational choirs.
