Individual choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon The whole choir to help drive fundraising events across The region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and conTinually sources new material From its mulTi-cultural roots. Music From Eastern Europe, Georgia, Africa and Jamaica etc finds its way into our repertoire. We also love to sing some beauTiful classical works and Mozart, Bortniansky and Bach is much loved by The singers. The Swiss-born musician has disTinguished himself as an innovaTive and versaTile conductor on The Canadian choral scene. AcTive as arTisTic director, guest conductor, pedagogue and clinician, Michael Zaugg brings a wealth of experience and creaTivity to his work. IniTially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addiTion to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in The Fall and a Spring concert), There are frequently requests From local organizaTions for appearances. For example, in The spring of 2011, The group performed at The Wright BroThers Monument for The Centennial of The Wright BroThers Glider Flight. The repertoire of The Outer Banks Chorus ranges From The Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages.
