We hebben momenteel 22 leden maar streven in de toekomst naar een ledental van 30 (of meer natuurlijk). Onze leden komen uit Doetinchem, Zutphen, Ulft, Steenderen, Gaanderen, Etten en Megchelen. Het doel van Miracle Sound is om het Barbershopzingen bekend te maken bij een groter publiek maar vooral: plezier maken! Het repertoire bestaat uit evergreens, love- en popsongs, musicals en ballads. Uiteraard allemaal gezongen in Barbershop-stijl, dus zonder muzikale begeleiding!  less

Hailing from places as far afield as Truro and Coverack and ranging in age from thirty-something to eighty-something they unite once a week in Penryn to indulge and nurture their love of singing. The women of Mabe Ladies Choir take their music making very seriously, constantly striving to achieve the highest artistic and technical standards. That said, they do spend an inordinate amount of time laughing! Whether it’s in the rehearsal room or the concert hall the emphasis is on fun & enjoyment, for choir and audience alike. Initially, the singers performed mainly in their home town and neighbouring areas, actively accumulating experience for their first serious contest, the Latvian National Contest for Vocal Ensembles, in 1999. Success amongst the tough competition in the category of female ensembles encouraged the singers to participate in international contests, resulting only in awards. Success increases the joy of singing and in order to spread positive emotions to a greater number of vocal music admirers, Anima Solla began concert trips to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, Lithuania and Australia. Anima Solla has three different concert programmes – sacred music, compositions of Latvian composers and folk song arrangements, as well as jazz and popular music. Johansen Choirs are truly honored to re...  more The Johansen High School Vocal Music Department provides our students the opportunity to perform great choral literature while entertaining local audiences and performing at a variety of civic and community events. Johansen Choirs are truly honored to represent our community in various capacities as well as having the opportunity to tour throughout California, often giving students their first experience outside of Stanislaus County. We are excited that nearly 60 students will participate in the vocal music program at Johansen High School this year. Last year our choirs participated in multiple festivals, sang by invitation at many local events and toured San Diego. The department’s Viking Singers won a contest this summer and sang on stage with Foreigner at the County Fair. These talented students have been invited to participate in Gallo Center for the Arts first ever a cappella festival in April 2013.  less
