Under the direction of Diana Clark since 2009, Children’s Choir consists of caring young Musicians from diverse cultural heritages, ages 9-15 years old. Storytelling, joy of singing, connection and flexibility of performance are the core values of this group. The Choir also loves to work with guest conductors and share with other Choirs. They have recently been guest singers with Vancouver Chamber Choir. Since 1989, when Donna Otto founded the group, Coastal Sound Children’s Choir has performed at important cultural events in Greater Vancouver and Whistler, has toured extensively throughout the world, and has co-hosted the Coastal Sound International Choral Festival. coastalsoundMusic.com  less

Orfej...  moreKomorni zbor Orfej / Chamber Choir Orfej was formed in 1989. The Choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, Chamber Choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian Choirs. Orfej has proven its high level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national Choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The Choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed Choirs’.  

Created in 1987, the Choir has a total of about 90 singers (mainly students, university's staff, and former students). It is conducted by Evelyne BÉCHÉ, and accompanied at the piano by Dimitri NEGRIMOVSKI. It is conducted by Evelyne BÉCHÉ, and accompanied at the piano by Dimitri NEGRIMOVSKI. The Choir is not only one of the actors of the cultural life of the university, but also an ambassador of it in the department of Sarthe, in France and abroad. Administratively, the Choir is an association (french law 1901). The repertoire of the Choir is varied: classical Music, Gospel, jazz, Music of the world, variety. Depending on the works, the Choir is accompanied by its regular pianist at the piano, by renowned orchestra, or by orchestra made up of professional Musicians for specific events. During its 55-year existence, the aim of the chorus has been development of artistic concert activities through the choral singing, interpretation of pieces of Music of Slovak and foreign composers who write their pieces of Music in the field of choral singing. The main credo is propagation of choral art and tradition and last but not least representation of city of Žilina and Slovakia all over the Europe and the world.
