Sacred music and jazz, classical and modern music organically and naturally coexist in the repertoire of the choir. The creative possibilities of the collective, consisting of 30 professional musicians, are inexhaustible. They constantly work on new programs of Russian works (D. Bortniansky, P. Tchaikovsky, S. Rachmaninov, G.Sviridov) and Western classics (I.S.Bach, G.Gendel, D.Bukstehude, W.A. Mozart). Then they prepared premieres of works by contemporary Belarusian composers as S.Kortes, V.Kopytko, A. Bondarenko, O.Hodosko, etc. The State Chamber choir of the Republic of Belarus has many tours. The Chamber choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year.
The Chamber choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers. less
