Although the Choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over the North West. Individual Choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon the whole Choir to help drive fundraising events across the region. One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble. BUMC Jazz Choir 2008 members, the winners of the IKSV Young Jazz 2008, who have boosted their success by attending to the most prestigious a cappella contest in the world, 'Vokal Total', in both pop and jazz categories and won 2 'Silver Diplom's and also have sung many times in many festivals such as the 15th International Istanbul Jazz Festival and the Akbank 18th Jazz Festival. They also gave special concerts with Sertab Erener (ESC 2003 winner). The group carries on with their professional musical careers under the name “Istanbul Essence”. We rehearse once a week. Our repertoire is mainly classical a cappella but we have participated in arena concerts with andrea Bocelli, Chess in concert, I Love Musicals, Zelda, Morricone and others. In 2016 we won the Cork Int Choral competition.

The consort specialises in bringing vibrancy to early music, as well as breathing life into newly commissioned pieces. Originating at the University of Cambridge, the consort attracted singers from the renowned Choirs of St John's, Jesus, Trinity and King's Colleges. Now a professional vocal ensemble, Platinum Consort boasts some of the best young singers in London. They have an affinity with the music of composer Richard Bates and recently premiered his Tenebrae Responsories. These, along with other music inspired by the Tenebrae tradition appear on Platinum's debut album, In The Dark which is released on Resonus Classics. Platinum also runs a Boys' Choir, which aims to be one of the best of its kind in the UK.
