O Lord, please hear my prayer
in the morning, when I rise
it's your servant, bound for glory
O, dear Lord, please hear my prayer
O Lord, please hear my prayer
keep me safe within your arms
it's your servant, bound for glory
O, dear Lord, please hear my prayer
When my work on earth is done
and you come to take me home
just to know I'm bound for glory
and to hear you say...
"well done"
done with sin and sorrow
have mercy

Amen

It is based in Tsuru City, located at the foot of Mt.Fuji. Under the our conductor, Prof. Masahiko Shimizu, we always practice in this place, blessed in nature, with many friends who get together at Tsuru University.
Including the annual concert held on "World Chorus Day" on the second Sunday of December every year, we perform at elementary and junior high schools, social welfare facilities, etc., and sing at chorus festivals, giving the "TSURUBUN SOUND" in a variety of venues. We have also awarded at the All Japan Chorus Competition in many times and often won top prizes in the largest chorus competition in Japan. less

The Chorus sings a wide repertoire of music drawn from classical, pop, musical theatre and folk as well as the more traditional welsh hymns that are often expected!
Since it was established, the Choir has raised many thousands of pounds for charitable causes over the years. We rehearse at the Craven Arms Community Centre every Monday evening at 7:30pm, with the exception of bank holidays, January, and August. less

comes originally from my cantata “The Manchester Magnificat”,
based on Audrey Vaughan’s poems about the religious and social history of the City.
The oratorio was first performed in Manchester Cathedral in 1994.
This psalm forms the climax of the whole cantata and provides an expression of optimism after the
tragedies of the previous sections.
In this “extracted” version, the tragic surroundings of the history remain
in the background and the purebubbling joy of the psalm itself shines forth.
Enjoy the complex rhythms and let your hair down!
This performance by Daniel Shaw's Composer's Choir (based in Connecticut)
is a brilliant rendition of the piece and will, I hope,
encourage other church Choirs and concert Choirs to consider including it in their repertoire.
