We specialise in performing hit songs mainly from the 1980s as you've never heard them before. Why? Because the majority of our songs are arranged specially for us by our ridiculously talented in house music team. We perform all over London in clubs and pubs and can be relied upon to bring a sparkle to any occasion, as Musical Director Kat Yates explains: "In KiS (as we're known to our friends) we've really put the emphasis on fun - and our audiences relate to this. As a result we've performed at festivals, events and celebrations all over London and people always ask us back for more. Named after a beautiful and rugged region in Terra Nova National Park, the choir celebrates it's 10th anniversary season in 2014-2015. This is a true community choir of more than thirty experienced singers representing the professions of music, teaching, engineering, law, civil service, marketing, information technology and journalism. Nearly one-half of the choir's singers are students from across many disciplines of study. Newman Sound has realized an ever-growing loyal audience, a high local, national and international reputation and a very bright future having established an exciting and eclectic repertoire across the genres of classical, pop and folk including some outstanding arrangements and original compositions by several of the singers within the choir.  less

Some of the significant performances of the choir can be listed as Ankara Polyphonic Choir Festival, Afyon Classical Music Festival, Austrian Consulate Culture Office New Year Concert, Jungend Musiziert Competition Opening Concert, Istanbul International Choir Days (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) In year 2007 announced as ''Mevlana (Jalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī) Year'' by UNESCO, the choir prepared the repertoire including the works of Mevlana and Yunus Emre.
