Polyhymnia's singers are drawn from many sources, including some of The finest church choirs in New York Since 2000, director John Bradley has been creating original editions of music for The ensemble, some of it secreted in manuscript collections since The 16th century. Working in concert with libraries, liturgical historians and institutions, Polyhymnia hopes to both preserve and reintroduce choral masterworks of The Renaissance and early Baroque in ways that both entertain and elucidate. The choir’s repertoire imaginatively balances unaccompanied choral music from The Renaissance period with 19th - 21st century works. Although relatively small in number, The choir is accomplished in singing music in both double and triple choir form. Particular specialisms include The works of William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and Tómas Luis da Victoria. The choir has performed in many prestigious venues in Europe, including Notre-Dame in Paris, Chartres caThedral and Versailles. Events such as The Prague Spring International Festival (Czech Republic) have also featured The choir. In 2006, in Budapest, The choir performed Tallis’s towering 40-part motet Spem in Alium, with The internationally renowned Budapest Monteverdi Choir. In 2008 The choir enjoyed a trip to The Lisbon region and sang in some truly fantastic venues, including Mosteiro dos Jerónimos.  less

The chorale had an humble beginning in 1992 under a very different name and with a smaller group of choristers in The City of gosnells, it is now based in Bunbury Western Australia. The current choristers come from country centres such Wickepin, Cuballing, Narrogin, Donnybrook, Harvey, Perth and of course Bunbury. The Chorale travels extensively and is always in demand interstate and overseas. The Nightingale's rehearsals takes place The first three Fridays of each month from 6.10 pm to 8.10 pm, and The 4th Sunday of every month from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. The rehearsal venue is at The Walker Hall,Bunbury. Meeting times will be changed as from 10th February 2012 and will be advertised well in advance  less
