The consort specialises in bringing vibrancy to early Music, as well as breathing life into newly commissioned pieces. Originating at the University of Cambridge, the consort attracted singers from the renowned Choirs of St John's, Jesus, Trinity and King's Colleges. Now a professional Vocal ensemble, Platinum Consort boasts some of the best young singers in London. They have an affinity with the Music of composer Richard Bates and recently premiered his Tenebrae Responsories. These, along with other Music inspired by the Tenebrae tradition appear on Platinum's debut album, In The Dark which is released on Resonus Classics. Platinum also runs a Boys' Choir, which aims to be one of the best of its kind in the UK. Richly themed programs celebrate the elegant beauty of Renaissance motets, tonal color of modern works, and exotic flavor of Music from other cultures. From its beginning it has been affiliated with ZAMEK Culture Centre. Experienced and respected pedagogues-Musicians look after the Musical development of the girls and artistic program. The Choir is conducted and creatively inspired by its Artistic Director and Conductor Alicja Szeluga, an educator and choral Music aficionado. The Vocal Coach Marzena Michałowska, and accompanying pianist Czesław Łynsza, as well as percussionist Beata Polak complete the Musical team. The SKOWRONKI Girls Choir also has programs for younger groups. The ensemble is consists of 140 girls aged between 6 and 22. The singers of the Choir are secondary School students as well as students from universities of Poznań. The constitution and first rehearsal of the cho...  moreAcademic Male Choir of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing was established on January 11, 2016 as the initiative of the conductor Josip degl' Ivellio and the Dean Professor Mislav Grgic, PhD. The constitution and first rehearsal of the Choir was held on January 18, 2016. The Choir has been holding since its foundation regular weekly rehearsals, and has grown into the biggest male Choir in Croatia, but also wider. The Choir in its repertoire emphasizes classical choral literature, primarily Croatian composers. In addition, the Choir's repertoire includes both a cappella compositions of the classical repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary Music, as well as the clapet and compositions of contemporary or popular multilayer Music. Members of the Choir are present the former students and staff of the Faculty, as well as other interested friends and supporters of the Faculty. Since foundation, Choir has won multiple golden plaques and more than 80 concerts or performances.  less
