Our new Musical Director, Julian Collings joined the Choir beginning of 2019. Over the LAst few years the Choir has enjoyed a growing reputation for its repertoire of outstanding contemporary music alongside the established cLAssics. TCS LAtest performances included The Creation of Haydn, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mass in Blue of Todd, Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle. The Choir also perform a Christmas Concert every year. Overall we perform three main concerts a year. During its performances TCS enjoys the participation of professional soloists and orchestras and ensembles. Phil Culling is our accompanist. With past successes and imaginative programming, TCS is thriving. We are always gLAd to welcome new singers, regardless of age; especiallly those who enjoy their music making. We like to rehearse and perform with our sense of humour switched on. We perform four concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and the occasional light programme of popuLAr numbers! Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and the surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford and Basingstoke. Choir membership is currently around 50 voices, many of whom have sung with the Choir for several years. The combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue. We aim to broaden our experience, strive for quality and musicality in our performances and involve young singers wherever possible. Soloists are drawn from the Choir, although for more complex works we often invite professional singers to participate. Fancy joining? Although we don’t have a formal auditio...
