The Barberettes are always looking for new members and would love to welcome you to visit us in rehearsal. If you are free on Wednesday evenings, simply come along at 7:45pm, see what we're all about and chat to members in the break. The song is arranged with modern vocal effect and technique to express the atmosphere and environment of the poem. The poem describes a girl who has long been waiting for her lover to come back from far away. The clatter of horse hoofs has given her hope. However, it is just a passer-by, not her lover.
