For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone...  moreOn 26 of May, 2012, members of SoundRoutes choirs from across Glasgow and Lanarkshire visited Addiewell prison for the day to record a 4 track Ep "Changing Key" with the Addiewell Prison Choir. For security reasons, we could not take footage but everyone who was present knows that the atmosphere was electric. An unlikely place to experience joy and community spirit, music brought together people from dramatically different backgrounds and gave them a common purpose. All proceeds go to Shelter Scotland.

The ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinit...  moreThe Gesualdo Six are a vocal sextet specialising in the performance of renaissance polyphony, directed by Owain Park. The ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinity colleges are represented. Recent concerts have included performances of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday (Feria Quinta), Monteverdi madrigals and anthems by Byrd. The ensemble has also performed music by Ligeti, Rheinberger and arrangements by Philip Lawson. Future engagements include a lunchtime concert in the Cambridge St John’s Music Festival, as well as concerts at Jesus and Caius colleges.  less

Phoenix Singers, Hong Kong is a newly established chorus, musically directed by Celia Leung. ...  morePhoenix, is referring to the many Flame Trees that are found in HK, blooming in May around the city. Flame Trees are known as 鳳凰木 (Phoenix Trees) in Chinese. Phoenix Singers, Hong Kong is a newly established chorus, musically directed by Celia Leung. The chorus meets once a week and share the joy of singing. The Chorus presented concerts at various venues around HK since its inception. We also make it our mission to support local charities at each term.
