We welcome experienced SATB singers who are keen to perform music of all genres to a High standard in an informal environment. Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to colLAborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. We hope to work with a variety of musicians to develop quality and future colLAboration within the Choir. COMMUNICATION No music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet music in concerts. The Choir, which has a membership of around 30 voices, was formed in 2007 by its Musical Director, SheiLA Farmer. A CappelLA is a touring Choir, having visited Prague and France, and hoping to make a tour to Spain in the near future. The Choir rehearses every other Saturday morning, between 10 a.m. and noon.  

We are a mixed voice Choir of approximately 40 voices. All are welcome, and we would especially welcome new members in the lower voices.

Every movement of this mass is powered by a distinct consortium, uniting Choirs from every corner of the earth. Year after year, we unveil new segments, slowly revealing the full magnificence of this work. Our journey is set to culminate in 2030, by which time we aim to have united 50 Choirs in this extraordinary musical voyage. The School Choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need ...  LAss="view_more_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.dispLAy='';$(this).getParent().style.dispLAy='none';">moreLAss="view_more" style="dispLAy:none;">The idea for our Vocal Group goes back to the musical notions and ideas that we learned over the years as part of the Choir of the Liceo “A. Mariotti”, Perugia. The School Choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need for constant renewal caused by the inevitable “turnover” as new students took the pLAces of those who left. However, after this experience, which has included many concerts in the region, participations in Choir Festivals in Italy and artistic exchanges with youth Choirs from Germany, Hungary, Spain, Denmark and the Czech Republic, our desire to continue singing and, of course, the joy which singing together gave us all made it obvious that the time had clearly come to establish a group which could allow us to continue our musical journey together.
