The choir, which began at Brigham Young University as an early music ensemble, transformed into one of The premier non-collegiate chamber groups in The Western United States. This award-winning ensemble achieves high performance standards by drawing on The rich musical heritage of The region. Many Cantorum Singers have solo careers and all have sung with top collegiate ensembLes. A number have also sung as members of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Utah Chamber Artists, and Salt lake Vocal Artists. In addition, Cantorum is proud to have a high representation of talented choral educators. The group won both of its categories at The 2016 Interkultur competition and received special commendation for Their performance of Dale Warland and Hugo Distler. Dziesmuvara also participates in The latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing togeTher in concerts. The more, The merrier!

It’s been beautifully arranged by Moira Smiley and Vida, but was written by John Prine, a Chicago folk musician. There are two new Singers in this ensemble: Rosi, a deep dark bass, standing back left, and Marie, sitting at The front right with The cowboy hat on. Both Singers have been a wonderful addition to our choir. Adele in The rocking chair, Annabelle standing right, and KaTherine with baby Erin (who LOVES harmony!) complete The group, all of which you have seen many times in concert! We love The song and hope you do too. With this song, we are raising money for a charity close to our hearts, Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton. Directed by Hilary Campbell, a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music, The group was formed a decade ago, while The Singers were studying at The University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In York, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2, which was broadcast during The snooker final in 2005, and since Then has performed nationwide and beyond. Initially formed in 1987 simply as a means for those interested to gaTher togeTher to sing, more formal concerts were later organized and presented. In addition to two planned concerts a year (a Christmas concert in The Fall and a Spring concert), There are frequently requests from local organizations for appearances. For example, in The spring of 2011, The group performed at The Wright BroThers Monument for The Centennial of The Wright BroThers Glider Flight. The repertoire of The Outer Banks Chorus ranges from The Classical to Broadway, and spirituals of all kinds and in different languages. Recently The chorus has sung a number of premiere performances of pieces by contemporary composers.
