There Will Come Soft Rains
There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white;
Robins will wear their feathery fire,
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.
Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree,
If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn
Would scarcely know that we were gone.

O Lord, please hear my prayer
in the morning, when I rise
it's your servant, bound for glory
O, dear Lord, please hear my prayer
O Lord, please hear my prayer
keep me safe within your arms
it's your servant, bound for glory
O, dear Lord, please hear my prayer
When my work on earth is done
and you come to take me home
just to know I'm bound for glory
and to hear you say...
"well done"
done with sin and sorrow
have mercy

Amen

Currently numbering 18 singers, FCC has a broad repertoire featuring everything from early music and traditional pieces to the works of contemporary composers such as Whitacre, Pärt, Lauridsen and McMillan, and is highly regarded at home and abroad.
In 2011, we travelled to Trondheim, Norway, to take part in Sangforening, a major festival featuring hundreds of Norwegian Choirs, and were the first ever foreign Choir invited to take part. 2012 saw us visit Languedoc, France, where we gave concerts in beautiful old churches in Alzonne and Montréal, near Carcassonne. We are active in radio and television, having featured in many broadcasts of recorded and live services by the Irish national broadcaster RTE, including one recorded in Swords CoI church which was broadcast on Christmas day, 2010 and Easter and Advent services in 2012 and 2013.

O Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
from glen to glen and down hte Mountainside
the summer's gone and all the roses falling
it's you, it's you must go and I must bide
but come ye back when summer's in the meadow
or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
it's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
O Danny Boy, O Danny Boy, I love you so
but when ye come and all the flowers are dying
if I am dead, as dead I well may be
ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
and kneel and say an "ave" there for me
and I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
and all my grave will warmer, sweeter be
for you will bend and tell me that you love me
and I shall sleep in peace until you come to me

"Secret for the Mad"

I've got a secret for the mad
In a little bit of time it won't hurt so bad
And I get that I don't get it
But you will burn right now but then you won't regret it
You're not gonna believe a word I say
What's the point in just drowning another day
And I get that I don't get it
But the world will show you that you won't regret it
Little things, all the stereotypes
They're gonna help you get through this one night
And there will be a day
When you can say you're okay and mean it
I promise you it'll all make sense again
I promise you it'll all make sense again
There's nothing to do right now but try
There are a hundred people who will listen to you cry
And I get that they don't get it
But they love you so much that you won't regret it
You're at the b... less
