Life got in the way. We are now actively trying again to recruit new members. The Renaissance Revelers madrigal Ensemble performs medieval and renaissance music in the greater Washington DC metro area. The Ensemble has performed at the Maryland Renaissance Festival annually since 1987. Are you a choral singer? Do you like to sing old and interesting music in different languages? Do you like to dress in costume and attend renaissance festivals? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Renaissance Revelers are looking for singers. All parts are needed, but we are in particular need of tenors and basses. Ability to sight read is not required but is desirable. We perform annually at the Maryland Renaissance Festival with a few gigs also thrown in over the holidays. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Rockville, MD. Interested? We aim to make chor...  moreLeeds Male Voice Choir is a vibrant and dynamic choir of fifty men that performs throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. With an inclusive approach our members have different levels of singing experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to make choral singing as accessible as possible to all men. Our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and classical pieces. The choir selects a diverse range of music music which is both familiar and new to our audiences enabling us to touch on as many different styles and genres as we can. We are always keen to hear from potential new members. You don't need to be able to read music and many of our members have not sung in a choir before. As long as you can sing in tune and are willing to learn, then you are half way there. A disciplined approach and an enthusiasm for a wide range of music will also stand you in good stead.  less

As Turkiye's first Barbershop style vocal Ensemble, the qartet became the first Turkish member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The quartet has performed at various prestigious venues including Casa Botter, Akbank Sanat, BKM Mutfak, Pera Museum, Borusan Music House, Santa Maria Draperis Church, St. Pierre and St. Paul's Church. In 2017, they received an invitation from Harmony University - Quartet College in Nashville, USA, and became the first Turkish quartet to attend this annual Barbershop convention and performed to international audience. Barbershop Istanbul was greatly appreciated by the audience in Nashville, the birthplace of the genre, as well as in Turkiye. The quartet's repertoire includes not only classical Barbershop arrangements and Barbershop arrangements of popular music, but also Kaan Bayır's works of popular, traditional and classical turkish music arranged in Barbershop style.  less
