The vocal quIntet went on tOur In 2007 to the People’s Republic of ChIna and In 2010 to Taiwan. In 2013 the group was Invited to Rome to perform a concert In honor of the council chairman of the Evangelical Reformed Church visitIng the Holy See. In the same year Thios Omilos won first place In the Johannes-Brahms-Competition In Wernigerode, the Anton-Bruckner-Competition In LInz, and the Leipzig Conservatory of Music and Theater Ensemble Competition. Secondarily Tswelopele aims to educate its members In the sIngIng of all types of choral Music, arrange concerts for the general public to attend, perform choral works with other choirs and participate In various competitions and Music festivals In the community. The choir currently consists of 48 choristers. The choir beIng fairly young went to its first (TCMA) competition on October 18th 2015, wInnIng first place In the development section. The choir has sInce went on to perform at Computeshare and Standard Bank respectively. Tswelopele Chorus attended its first GACMA competition on May 29th 2016 and placed 6TH In the standard category.
