This premier female ensemble, were the first choir in the country to venture into the world of international choral Music, and have been truly Musical ambassadors to Sri Lanka. Although the choir originated and is based in Preston, Lancashire, members come from all over the North West. Individual choir members are involved in a wide range of local community projects and often call upon the whole choir to help drive fundraising events across the region.
One Voice Community Choir celebrates diversity and continually sources new material from its multi-cultural roots. The inspired leadership of Musical Director Tyndale Thomas MBE, combined with 14 years of performance experience has produced a stunning sound and versatile choral ensemble.

The choir has built an international reputation and has made it a trademark to include newly written Music in its programmes. This is thanks to the work of Knut Nystedt (b. 1915), organist, composer and conductor, who returned to Norway in 1964 after studying in the USA and started a choir at the Music department of the University of Oslo. Tone Bianca Sparre Dahl became conductor in 2002, and has further established the choir’s firm position in Norway’s Musical life. She has continued Nystedt’s tradition of performing modern Music. Schola Cantorum has a varied repert... less
