Historical sources confirm the existence in the 15th century of a vocal ensemble composed of students and teachers of the Cathedral School. Uninterruptedly since 1939, The Poznań Nightingales Choir has worked and given concerts under the baton of Prof. Stefan Stuligrosz for 73 years. Prof. Stefan Stuligrosz died on 15 of June, 2012. These days, some of our members are hospital staff whilst others are members of the local Community. We now have approximately 45 members in all and come together regularly to enjoy high-quality music-making whilst having fun.

The "Ladies of Melody Choir" was founded in the City of Tartus in November 2022 by Maestro Bishr Issa, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Music and a musician in the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. He was also the former conductor of the "Chamber Choir of the High Institute of Music" in Damascus, and the conductor of the "Urjwan Choirs" in Tartous. The main goal of establishing the "Ladies of Melody Choir" was to highlight the role of Arab women in the cultural and musical scene, introduce the culture of choral and collective singing in its contemporary concept to the local artistic culture, and revive the authentic musical heritage of the Levant and the Arab world, which has begun to disappear and decline in the face of superficiality and degradation dominating the general Arab artistic scene. Some of us have been singing together from childhood and few years later we met again. Although Gloria Brunensis is only for two years in existence, we have already won few prizes on international competitions, for example in Krakow, Poland.  

We formed as Manx Girls Choir in 1952. MGC travelled widely in Europe and had a high standard. In 2003, we changed our name to Manx Voices. We compete in our local music festivals and have sung on stage with Blake. We are a very democratic, mutually supportive group of women ranging in age from 10 to 70!

This is arranged by our lovely talented Choir member Margaret Smith. Choirs involved from Hummingsong Community Choirs are Karinya, Maribella & Senisuara based in sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore. 110 women joined together for an event we will all never forget.
