We are a mixed-voice choir of around 30 singers, performing a wide variety of secular and sacred "classical"; choral music. We mainly sing a cappella, and tend to focus on lesser-known older works, and modern repertoire, often from living composers. However, this is by no means exclusive! The choir sings three main concerts per year, with a charity carol concert just before Christmas. We are also a sociable bunch, with regular social events and a number of 'spin-off' groups.  less

They are adept in creating original and new musical arrangements from their intensive training on voice ensemble performance. For more than fifty years, the group have had produced notable conductors, choral and solo singers.

This version is based on that by the Golden Gate Quartet, the most successful of all of the African-American gospel music groups who sang in the jubilee quartet style. Formed in 1934 the group remains active today, although with no original members. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester, and satisfies the fine arts requirement when enrolled for a minimum of three semesters.
