Its vision is to become the country's pr...  moreKORO ILUSTRADO, a Makati City-based all-male choral ensemble, was formed in October 2007 by a group of choral enthusiasts. It commits to significantly contribute to the nurturance of the country’s choral tradition. Its vision is to become the country's premiere all-male chorale, exemplifying the best of the Filipino: excellence, discipline and a flair for entertainment. Inspired by the global spirit and nationalistic dedication of the great ilustrado men during Spanish colonial times, the choir is slowly building a repertoire that includes the best of local and global all-male choral music. A member of the Madz et al network of choirs, it is composed of men who had extensive choral singing backgrounds through their college, church and community/parish choir experiences. Koro Ilustrado's choirmasters are Edmund Alan "Jong" Piquero and Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero.  less

They were under the tu...  moreEast Rand Male Symphony was established in August 1990 by the members of the then Kenneth Masekela SSS Boys Choir after winning the TUATA National School Choir Competition in the category of Boys Choirs for the 4th successive year. They were under the tutelage of Mojalefa Motloung. The choir is made up of members from the East Rand which is now affectionately known as Ekurhuleni. The young men who established the choir in 1990 are now responsible men taking their place in their communities. We currently have over 35 members of which ages range from 20 to 50. We are still under the baton of Mojalefa Motloung who also forms part of our Conductors Forum.  less
