The Choir has been a finalist in both The CBC Choral competition for amateur...  moreThe Saskatoon Chamber Singers was founded in 1977 by a group of former Greystone Singers (University of Saskatchewan) who wanted to continue singing in a quality Choral ensemble. The Choir has been a finalist in both The CBC Choral competition for amateur Choirs and The International Choral Kathaumixw in Powell River, British Columbia, and participated in The non-competitive Festival 500 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. It has also been The guest Choir at Saskatchewan Sings, and sang at The installation of Lynda Haverstock (a former member) as Lieutenant-Governor of Saskatchewan. In 2010, The Choir performed at Podium, The biennial conference of The Association of Canadian Choral Communities, held in Saskatoon. The Choir’s repertoire has been rich in variety since its establishment, and Canadian music has always been an important component of its programming. MCA travels takes us to The haunting sounds of Eastern Europe, India, and Asia, with folk and classical music. The Milwaukee Choral Artists will be your guide in this rare musical trip. The Concert "ACH! PG Carnivalesque" under The patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During The performance we heard Choral arrangements of...  moreThe Concert "ACH! PG Carnivalesque" under The patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During The performance we heard Choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from The musical West Side Story that graced The walls of The Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with The Choir, and The musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by The Academic Choir of The Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from The Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less

We were founded in 1928 and perform two major Concerts a year in addition to our annual appearance at The Leith Hill Musical Festival in The Spring, as well as regular Christmas charity Concerts and oTher activities.
