The Cwmbach Choir was formed in 1921, and has survived to The present day even though it was severely tested by periods of hardship, depression and The Second World War. During it's 90 years it has flourished and built up an enviable record of success...  more The Cwmbach Choir was formed in 1921, and has survived to The present day even though it was severely tested by periods of hardship, depression and The Second World War. During it's 90 years it has flourished and built up an enviable record of success in competitions and concert performances. Its success in competition,particularly eisteddfodau, was established in its early days. The first taste of success was second prize at Treorchy in 1928, followed by Cardiff in 1938 and Ebbw Vale in 1958. The first prize was ultimately achieved at Port Talbot in 1966 and repeated in 1968 at Barry. During The 1950's when The Although in recent times The Choir has not been nearly as active in The competitive arena, it was successful in taking First prize in The Male Choir competition at The Limerick Festival of 1996 in Ireland. Chicago a cappella performs "Save Me" by Robert L. Morris at Their concert "Roll, Jordan, Roll: The Spiritual, Old and New" on Feb. 6, 2010, at Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville, IL. The soprano soloist is Cari Plachy.

This classic Motown tune was a hit at Chor Leoni's Bard Boyz performances (June 2011). The arrangement is by Keith Sinclair (who is also in The backup dance quartet) and The soloist is second tenor, Jordan Back.

After The seminarians were graduated, They sWarmed out to fulfill Their priestly vocation for The Ukrainians all over The world. The now outside The monastery walls well-known seminarian choir fell apart while applications for The singing of liturgies and concerts throughout The NeTherlands, kept coming. On The initiative of Msgr. AG Smith, dr. Antonowycz founded The Utrecht Byzantine Choir on February 9, 1951, consisting of only Dutch men, who specialized in singing The liturgy according to The Slavic-Byzantine rite.
