He came to Brazil in 1956 and spent half of his life in Salvador. He was a member of the Brazilian Academy of Music. He was master of three generations of conductors and composers in Brazil. PSALM 150 is a contemporary piece with rhythmic, harmonic and contrapuntal challenges. With its sounds of Bells, trumpets, strings, flutes and timpani, describes the psalm and ends with a Hallelujah in the form of liturgical dance that grows up to the grand finale.  less

We sing music from the early 1900's through to more modern songs such as Billy Joel, The Rat Pack etc. The Chorus focuses on improving singing techniques and making chords "ring" while at the same time simply having fun. We love it when a 4 part chord is correctly tuned and the chord just locks together and harmonics (or overtones) ring out loud and strong. We compete every year in local contest as a mean of measuring our progress against similar groups but we just love to perform for the public and so our contest activities are very well balanced with public performance. We also have a great time together as one of our goals is to provide a place where men can gather and enjoy their interest in singing. The Harbour Capital Chorus was formed in Wellington on February 4th, 1988 following pioneering work by the “Co-ordinated Chemists” Quartet for several years prior to that.
