We welcome people of all nationalities and faiths, who want to experience the joy of singing and exploring Music as a way of building community based on love and respect. The choir performs several major concerts each year; its Christmas and Spring concerts in Amman are highly anticipated events. Dozan wa Awtar’s repertoire includes a wide range of sacred Music, from Byzantine hymns through the chorale classics of Western Music to the present day and Islamic anasheed. The choir also enjoys performing secular Music, including folk songs from around the world, Broadway hits and arrangements of popular, contemporary Music in many languages. Our choir is made of amateur singers WHO love to make Music. The conductor Zafer Gökçer has been conducting the choir since 2011. we love to sing classical, Turkish pop, jazz and folk Music. Anyone WHO love to sing in a mixed choir is wellcome to our choir.

We are a mixed-voice choir of around 30 singers, performing a wide variety of secular and sacred "classical"; choral Music. We mainly sing a cappella, and tend to focus on lesser-known older works, and modern repertoire, often from living composers. However, this is by no means exclusive! The choir sings three main concerts per year, with a charity carol concert just before Christmas. We are also a sociable bunch, with regular social events and a number of 'spin-off' groups.  less

The Winelands Chamber choir is a fledgling chamber choir based in the Western Cape Winelands District of South Africa, formed in 2010 out of our passion for choral Music, ranging from classical to contemporary.
