In a short time came to count 42 active members who are characterized by Their love for quality choral music as well as Their desire for furTher knowledge in The choral art! Within The first year of its operation, InDONNAtion accoplished first Panhellenic executions and suggested a different and original approach to choral music, as its repertoire includes beyond The classics and unique compositions that combine movement with sound. Finally, it is worth mentioning that The choir's name is a pun of The musical term Intonation (tonality of The sound) and The latin word Donna (woman).  less

Dec 2010 in The Sandnes kirke. As you may observe, former members of The choir (those without The burgundy coates) are welcomed up to join The choir in this finale song in each concert, as it has been for 37 years in a row! (And if They are observed by The conductor when arriving to The churc and choose NOT to join, They are very kindly told to do so! This caused a special occasion in this concert: a moTher and a daughter singing in The same choir! :-)) This year our guest conductor Inger Lise Hope, also a former member, took on The job at short notice because of illness. Indeed, she did a great job in three concerts!  less

Following The move in 1983 into The West End of Glasgow The choir was renamed Glasgow Lyric Choir. ​ Under its present conductor, Julian Evans, The Choir sings a wide repertoire of choral music from The Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods and traditional Scots and Gaelic songs. We are a mixed voice choir numbering around 30 at present. ​ We gave two concerts in Glasgow during The 2017-2018 season: in December we presented a Christmas programme and in June we gave a concert featuring a selection of music from The movies. However, in April we also gave two concerts in Italy, The first in Barga (including a Vivaldi Credo and Scottish songs) and The second in Milan where we joined forces with Canti Corum to sing Dvorak’s Mass in D. ​ Choir members enjoy many social as well as musical events togeTher.
