We Annually we p...  moreCarlow Choral Society Carlow Choral Society is a Mixed-voice choir of over 60 members (SATB) directed by Blánaid Murphy, Musical Director of the Palestrina Choir, St. Mary’s ProCathedral Girls Choir, Dublin Bach Singers and RIAM Choir. We Annually we perform two large concerts with professional soloists and orchestral musicians in Carlow, ‘Glory of Christmas’ in the National Concert Hall and annual ‘Christmas Crackers’ family concert in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, Carlow. We have a remarkable repertoire of many choral works such as Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. Mathews & St. John Passion, Verdi’s Requiem, Haydn’s The Creation & Seasons, Brahm’s Requiem & many more. We sing at home & abroad. In November 2011 the choir recorded a Christmas CD. New members are welcome. We rehearse in St. Patrick’s College, Carlow Monday nights from 7.45-10pm. We are made up of 3 different choirs - Mixed Chorus, Treble Choir, and Concert Choir. All of our members are students at Port Huron Northern High School and range from 13-18 years of age. We all share a love of music and create joy through singing together.

The Voice Of The Town family has now grown and not only do we have our choir in Newcastle, but we now have choirs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
