It strives to enrich the lives of its members through programs stressing musical aptitude, teamwork, discipline, self-confidence and personal growth. Music camps, social outings, concert tours and an annual, child-involved fundraiser are combined with weekly rehearsals and live performances to create the type of nurturing environment that enables members to mature musically and socially. The Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber choir, a mixed young adult chorus...  onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreone;">The Surrey Children's Choir family represents 3 choirs, a Junior Training Choir, an Intermediate Training Choir, and the Senior Surrey Children's Choir. The "family" also includes older levels, a treble chamber choir, a mixed young adult chorus, and a community adult chorus. The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into the Surrey Children's Choir. The training choirs perform annually at the Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training choirs may also perform at various events in the community. The SCC, a treble-voice choir of boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of the best children's choirs in Canada". This fun-loving group of women enjoys singing together, not just for the performance factor, but also for the pure joy of singing together. We have about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We have about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We put on two "shows" each year to raise funds that benefit the chorus as a whole. We also perform throughout the year at various venues - retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, banquets, and other events.  

In August 2007, under the pastoral leadership of Dina Galapon of Immaculate Conception Chapel, the Coro de Immaculada Concepcion, was born, organized from the elders of the North Susana Executive Village community who volunteered their services for practi...  onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreone;">In August 2007, under the pastoral leadership of Dina Galapon of Immaculate Conception Chapel, the Coro de Immaculada Concepcion, was born, organized from the elders of the North Susana Executive Village community who volunteered their services for practices and attendance in the church's Sunday worship, and also during the special holidays of the year. Invariably with members from 12 to 18 at times, the CdIC was invited to assist at services of SVD priest on ABS-CBN masses and special eucharistic celebration at our parish church of the Holy Spirit in BF Homes at Quezon City. Lately the choir has also been singing at funeral masses of special community members who have rendered extraordinary services to the church  onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

A small group, who enjoy singing together, perform a wide range of sacred and secular music, mainly a capella. We rehearse fortnightly on Tuesday evenings at Holy Angels Church, Hale Barns, Cheshire WA15 0HF.
