Thomas Beck's arrangement for choir is complemented by a Jazz/folk trio and an added verse with fragments from Vinje's text, arranged by Dag Jansson, including vocal improvisation by three soloists. This piece was featured on the concert program at Musikhögskolan Ingesund on 4 May 2014.

Our aim was to capture a serious English Boys C...  moreAs part of the Vocal Art Ensemble's "Inkspell--Choral Music Inspired by Masters of Poetry" concerts in May, 2012, this piece for treble chorus and piano by Jere Hutchinson sets e.e. cummings' whimsical poem. Our aim was to capture a serious English Boys Choir poise while making the most of the poems playful spookiness, so we elicited help from the men of the chorus to try and 'frighten' the women singing.
