We rehearse weekly and Sing a variety of pop, rock, folk, reggae and gospel. SoundRoutes Singers have performed to sellout audiences at venues across the local region and in 2012 recorded our debut EP Changing Key. The groundbreaking project was in conjunction with Addiewell Prison Choir, also run by Shona Brown, Britain's first prison choir and over £3000 was raised for Shelter Scotland.  less

Much of the music we Sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet Singing as well as a cappella Singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm and are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more and to see if our group is right for you.  less

Soon, however, the weekly...  moreFounded in February 1995, the University of Toronto Gospel Choir [UTGC] was formed in celebration of Black History month. The Choir was initially created to unite students with a shared interest in praiSing the Lord through Song. Soon, however, the weekly choir rehearsals became not only a meeting place, but also a refuge for those looking for a non-threatening and empowering environment. Over the years, the Choir has grown to include members of all races and Christian denominations, and celebrates not only the diversity of its members, but also that of its audiences. UTGC has burst onto the international scene, while continuing to serve the greater Toronto community in local concerts and university events held throughout the year, like their community Christmas concert, and May's Gospelfest.
