Led by Mrs. Joy Clayton, the Athens Drive High School Choirs perform a range of musical pieces varying from classical to folk to pop. Our favorite composer, and the one whose pieces we most love to perform, is Eric Whitacre.

The Hazelnuts are a vocal trio, accompanied by guitar, contrabass & washboard, inspired by the American vocal groups of the 1930's. The group aims to expose the audience to the magic of this genre, which is almost completely forgotten. The Hazelnuts' concert combines original songs - preserving the musical spirit of the genre and poured into a contemporary feminine point of view, and in addition - stylistic adaptations of cotemporary songs and authentic pieces from the thirties. Band Members: Yifeat Ziv, Talya Amzaleg, & Shira Z. Carmel – vocals, Songs and Arrangements Ariel Givant – Double Bass / Dotan cohen – Guitar / Yoav Elkayam – Washboard ********************************************* BANDCAMP - http://thehazelnuts.bandcamp.com/ FACEBOOK -less

The title is drawn from John 6:36, Misericordes sicut Pater (English: Be Merciful, As Your Father Is). Inwood's composition was the winner in an international competition sponsored by the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization. The hymn has now been released in Italian, French, and English, with a Latin antiphon and refrains. . This video recording by the Golden Voices Choir STACC FUTO was transposed on key G Major. This beautiful male choir arrangement captures in it's very essence the richess of God's divine mercy. That no matter how busy our modern lives are, God's hands are ever present to guide us.
