Here is a film that seeks to explain more of what we do. Voices from the choir describe our songs, our technique, our approach... If you don't know us yet - welcome! If you already did, do share... We hope we can sing for you all in person some time soon. www.albionchoir.org.uk Our sincere thanks to Soundhouse Media, Roger & Martin and everyone at Wirksworth Church (including the Vicar and Churchwardens) & Rotary, and everyone who helped to fund it display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Ancient Christmas carol from Piae Cantiones This is my arrangement for our community choir (Soprano, Alto and Bass), but transposed down a third here for me to sing. (The arrangement also has an optional piano part which I did not use for this recording)

Founded in 2003 our musical journey takes us from Jazz to soul, pop to singer/songwriter. We are not professional singers but each of us has a very musical background and we use every opportunity to further our musical horizon, especially in terms of timbre and dynamics. Strong influences are the scandinavian contemporary choir scene led by Vocal Line, Bobby McFerrin, Take 6 and many more. Enjoy!

They wanted to show how two seemingly different cultures can fuse together to produce something great. This vision has grown into Chai-Town A Cappella. Last year we performed at the a Cappella competition Anahat, in Berkeley, CA, as a guest act at the dance competition Naach Nation, in New York, NY, and across the Midwest. As 2012 approaches, our group will be reaching its 10th anniversary and putting out our THIRD studio album! Chai-Town is a completely student-run, non-profit group of 16 members, each of whom has a passion for music. We love sharing this passion with our friends and family, our community, and the world. display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less
