We began rehearsals in the fall of 2018 for a holiday show that we performed at a neighborhood block party, and special guest JoAnne Worley came and performed with us. Everyone had such a good time, we decided to continue on the following spring. If it catches on, we hope to get our nonprofit status.

It's of course a wink to my favorite musical movie - I must have watched it at least a dozen times. It keeps inspiring my love for Singing. We mostly Sing musical Songs, but not exclusively. We are dedicated to making this a great amateur choir. But, as Mary Poppins sang: 'In every job that must be done / there is an element of fun / You find the fun / and SNAP the job's a game'

We perform for many organizations in and around the Western Pennsylvania area. Anyone wishing to Sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary. We also Sing in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year. Members chorus' are: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis. Rehearsals are held each Sunday at Sampsons MIlls Presbyterian Church at 1665 Lincoln Way in White Oak, PA 15131 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. the Mon Yough Chorale was formerly known as the Mon Yough Community Singers. the Mon Yough Chorale has a long history in the Mon Valley. the organization started as the McKeesport Choraliers in 1962 merging with the White Oak Community Singers in 2001 becoming the Mon Yough Community Singers.
