Very much (but not exclusively) in the barbershop stlye. Even though we have only been going a few months, our numbers have been increasing weekly as more and more people are seduced by the magical sound of ringing chords. We aim to be a serious performing chorus in due course.
We have had a very successful 2012 and hope for even better in 2013 where we have a whole host of exciting things planned. Stay tuned!
We'd very much be interested in meeting/collaborating with other choirs in our area. We are on Facebook so have a little look and maybe come and sing a few baas with us! less

The Snow, composed by Edward Elgar.
Cantores Celestes, directed by Kelly Galbraith with Jef ten Kortenaar and Catherine Chalmers on violin and Ellen Meyer on piano.
The lyrics were written by Elgar's wife, Alice, who was a published author of poetry and fiction. The poem is a romantic Victorian plea for keeping the soul pure:
O, snow, which sinks so light,
Brown earth is hid from sight
O soul, be thou as white as snow
O snow which falls so slow,
Dear earth quite warm below;
O heart, so keep thy glow
Beneath the snow.

NGK The Lord Bless You and Keep You
Nidarosdomens Guttekor from Norway sing John Rutter's beautiful song The Lord Bless You and Keep You. I am sorry about the ending. The Norwegian lady had to tell people that "Shrek" would be coming up next. Surely she could have waited for a minute !!
