They also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music FESTIVAL, always with great results. The training choirs may also perform at various events in the community. The SCC, a treble-voice choir of boys and girls aged 12-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local FESTIVALs, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of the best children's choirs in Canada". We have about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We put on two "shows" each year to raise funds that benefit the CHORUS as a whole. We also perform throughout the year at various venues - retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, banquets, and other events.
