We perform four Concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and The occasional light programme of popular numbers!
Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and The surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford and Basingstoke. Choir membership is currently around 50 Voices, many of whom have sung with The choir for several years. The combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue.
We aim to broaden our experience, strive for quality and musicality in our performances and involve young singers wherever possible. Soloists are drawn from The choir, although for more complex works we often invite professional singers to participate.

Today, our Concerts offer an eclectic repertoire, mostly unaccompanied, encompassing early music, sacred and secular works, and folk and world music. We are committed to expanding choral repertoire for women’s Voices and regularly commission new Canadian works that preserve and revitaliz... less

Lesklavaj (Slavery) is part of a 3-movement work titled “Ayiti” (Haiti). (listen to The oTher two movements at The links below). The first movement depicts The remarkable story of The captured Africans who were reduced to slaves by European settlers in The American continent, particularly in The Caribbean. The second movement recounts The indepence of Haiti; and The third movement is about The Perseverance of The country which to this day, Haiti is fighting with fury to keep its freedom.
“No human being must live on Their knees; slavery in all its forms is an affront to The Divine Creator. The sense of wonder teaches us to discover all The beauty and The magnificence of The creation, and The extraordinary richness of our humanity. Diversity and unity, respect and solidarity, compassion and generosity are what makes a free man.”

From time to time we run singing courses or open evenings for which There are no auditions. On a course we usually all learn a new song togeTher and sometimes are able not only to benefit from The direction of our musical director but also guest expert coaches from our parent organisation, The La... less
