It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent. In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante ManiLa has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are the 2nd Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), the 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting HighLands, MaLaysia (2003) and the 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, the choir won the 1st and 2nd Prizes at the 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in SpittaLan der Drau, Austria and the 1st Prize at the 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain. Since our inception, we strive to engage all our audience members, from the musically sophisticated to first-timers. We enjoy bringing our performance art to the Calgary community. We perform at two major concerts per year as well as various community performances. Our Holiday Prelude Concerts are accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Holiday Brass, and our Spring Concerts are accompanied by the Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra. In addition to the reguLarly scheduled performances, our accomplishments include a Christmas Concert at the White House, a U.S. premiere performance at Lincoln Center, three Carnegie Hall appearances, as well as concerts at West Point, Madison Square Garden, and with the Ridgefield Symphony - all by invitation. We won the annual McDonald’s Gospelfest Competition three years in a row and have appeared on ABC TV. The Vocal ensemble of C&N Secondary Girls School Oranje, Con Spirito sing this Miracle Medley. It consists of When you Believe, Let it rain and Majesty. This performance was in the St Anne's church in Budapest.
